For March Break, we asked Nicolas' cousin Sylvie if we could use her cottage north of Montreal and she graciously accepted. Before our visit, Nicolas and his brother Renaud offered to help clear the snow off the cottage roof in exchange for use of the cottage. There was a lot of snow!

Puis, la semaine de relâche arrivée, nous sommes partis vers le chalet. Renaud y était déjà arrivé. Nous y sommes restés cinq jours, pendant lesquels nous sommes sortis glisser, faire du ski de fond et de la raquette sur le lac et dans les sentiers aménagés dans la forêt voisine.
A couple of weeks later, when March Break arrived, we went to the cottage for a few days and joined Renaud and his family who were already there. We stayed five days and made the most of our time skiing, snowshoeing and sliding.

Dans le chalet, on a joué aux cartes et à des jeux de société, et nous avons passés de belles soirées en gang, y compris une belle fondue au chocolat version Isabelle et Renaud! Disons que ça a été mangé assez vite!
Inside the cottage, we played a lot of cards, board games and we had lovely meals together, including a super chocolate fruit dessert à la Isabelle and Renaud.

On the Tuesday, we went downhill skiing at Mont Habitant. It was probably the nicest day of the entire Winter so far - perfect for skiing! Julianne has become very good and by the end of the day, she was skiing down the hill on her own, making perfect S-shaped turns.
