Like many others out there, we were getting so discouraged about the clouds and the rain that we decided to throw a party for the cancellation of summer, with Christmas decorations too!
Cependant, nous avons quand même pu profiter du week-end pour faire des activités d'été, puisque le soleil a accepté de se pointer le bout du nez! Samedi, c'était le cours de natation de Julianne à la piscine du parc nature Les Forestiers. Nicolas y est allé à la course (5km) et était bien content de pouvoir s'y rafraichir!
However, the sun decided to come out and play a few times this weekend, so we were able to have a little bit of fun. Saturday was Julianne's swimming class at the Forestiers Nature Park. Nicolas ran 5 km and met us at the pool, then jumped in to cool off!

Dimanche, nous sommes parti à vélo pour le parc du Lac des Dunes, situé près de chez nous. Julianne a pu essayer son nouveau moyen de transport (elle grandit, et on avait besoin du chariot pour transporter du matériel)...
Sunday, we took a bike ride to Dunes Lake, which is in St-Lazare, not far from our house. Julianne was able to try her new method of transportation (she is getting bigger, and we needed the bike trailer for transport our accessories!)

Sur la plage, nous avons pu nous baigner, jouer au frisbee, jouer dans le sable, pique-niquer...
At the lake, we swam, played frisbee, played in the sand, had a picnic...

...et surtout essayer notre nouveau jouet: un surf à pagaie gonflable, convertible en kayak!
... and tried out our new toy: an inflatable Stand-up Paddle Board that can also be used as a kayak!
Et nous avons clôturé le tout avec une visite à la crèmerie :) Ils avaient même des cornets sans gluten!
And we ended the afternoon with a visit to the ice cream shop - why not? They had gluten-free cones too!
